Want to get into multi-pitch trad climbing but not sure where to start? This full-day ground school covers the foundational skills for getting out on multi-pitch routes safely and efficiently. With a combined 45+ years of climbing experience and a focus on route development and big wall climbing, Mark Evans and Greg Troutman break down improvised trad anchor building, multi-pitch efficiency systems, and basic self-rescue techniques. A light lunch and snacks are recommended.
Skill Level: basic familiarity with trad gear preferred.
Bring your personal climbing kit — cams, stoppers, draws, runners — as you'll be working with your own gear throughout the day.
Please note that this is a ground school clinic; participants will NOT be climbing. Ropes, shoes, and helmets not required.
