The International Climbers’ Festival is the longest-running climbing festival in the world, bringing climbers together for clinics, stewardship, education, community events, and celebration in Lander, Wyoming. More than just a gathering, the festival helps support year-round climbing advocacy and stewardship efforts across Wyoming.

The festival is organized by WyoClimbers, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting climbing access, strengthening community, and supporting stewardship and education initiatives across the state.
Festival proceeds and sponsor support help fund programs and projects including:
Bolt and anchor replacement
Wag Bag access
Local youth climbing clinics
Educational programming
Trail maintenance and stewardship efforts
By attending the festival, you’re helping support climbing access, education, and stewardship work throughout Wyoming.

The International Climbers’ Festival takes place July 9–12, 2026, in Lander, Wyoming. Most of the events are based out of Lander’s City Park, but we also have an Art Crawl on Main Street, an opening party at the Lander Bar, as well as clinics in town and at the crag. Check the schedule for more details on locations.

Each ticket tier includes different perks and experiences. Check the ticket page for the latest information on festival access, clinics, meals, merchandise, and special events included with VIP, Premium, and Standard tickets.

Clinics and workshops can be added through our Clinics page, with options available for a range of experience levels. Space is limited, so we recommend signing up early to secure your spot. A festival ticket is required to participate in clinics and workshops, unless otherwise stated.

Free tent and car camping is available at Lander City Park during the festival. Please park only in designated areas, avoid blocking roads, and use the designated tent camping spaces around the outskirts of the park.
Looking for a quieter option? Sinks Canyon State Park offers reservation-only camping about 15–20 minutes from the festival.
Whether you’re camping by tent or car, please help us care for these spaces by practicing Leave No Trace principles, respecting your neighbors, and leaving the area better than you found it.

There are a few places in Lander where festival attendees can shower during the weekend. Be sure to check their websites directly for current hours, availability, and fees.

Bathrooms are available at Lander City Park throughout the festival weekend.

Each clinic has specific gear requirements listed in its description, so please review those carefully before arriving. For general festival events, all you really need is your stoke, though a camp chair is always a good idea.

Yes! There are guidebooks available for both sport climbing and bouldering around Lander and the surrounding areas. You can order them online ahead of your trip or purchase them in-store at Wild Iris Mountain Sports.

Many festival events are family-friendly, though not all clinics or venues are suited for children. Please check individual event descriptions for age recommendations and details. We also offer a selection of free youth clinics, and youth participants do not need a festival ticket to attend those clinics.

The festival takes place rain or shine, so come prepared for changing mountain weather. We recommend packing layers, sun protection, and a rain jacket so you can stay comfortable throughout the weekend.

Festival ticket cancellations and refund requests can be processed up to 30 days before the festival. Unfortunately, we are unable to process cancellations or issue refunds within 30 days of the festival start date.
