Presented by Sterling

Building safe and reliable anchors is one of the most important skills in climbing, yet many climbers become overwhelmed by complexity and conflicting information. This clinic is designed to simplify anchor building and focus on practical, real-world systems that are safe, efficient, and adaptable. Throughout the day, we'll cover essential knots, protection placement, anchor construction, rappelling systems, and top-rope site management. Students will gain hands-on experience with gear, learn how to evaluate placements and anchor components, and develop a deeper understanding of the principles behind strong anchor systems using the N.E.R.D.S. framework.

This clinic is appropriate for climbers looking to build confidence in anchor systems, improve their technical skills, and develop sound judgment for climbing in a variety of environments. No matter your experience level, the goal is to leave with a stronger understanding of how to build anchors that are safe, efficient, and "good enough" for the terrain and conditions at hand.

Skill Level: Open to all levels.
Please note that this is a ground school clinic; participants will NOT be climbing.

This is a Full-Day Saturday clinic.
