with Jaclyn Lauer and Meghan Lucas, Ananda Yoga - A session on how to care for your joints and prevent injury after long climbing sessions. This will be a slow yet powerful flow-style class that incorporates specific postures and stretches all related to how your body moves and contracts while you climb. The teachers will focus heavily on shoulders, elbows, and wrists, as well as chest and hips. This clinic abolishes the idea that one needs either of those things in order to make big moves and step up their climbing game. We will talk about how movement, technique, and mindset can help us to be more successful doing the large, improbable moves that once shut us down. This clinic is for anyone, but is especially good for smaller climbers and climbers that are psyched to develop their skills on the bouldery routes in Wild Iris. Skill level: intermediate, able to toprope 5.10/5.11.
